Edgerton, Milton, and Janesville School Districts are partnering together to write the federal Carl Perkins Grant. The purpose of the Carl Perkins Act is to connect the needs of the workforce with the skills we are teaching in our local school districts and post-secondary training options. If your business does not currently employ Youth Apprentices, would you like more information on the program so that you could possibly start hiring YA students? (Many businesses refuse to hire high school students because they are under 18. The Youth Apprenticeship program contains rules for student learners that allow them to work on many different types of equipment as they are deemed "student learners."
