Summer 2024 Leader in Training Application
Our Summer Leader in Training Program is specially designed to train our oldest campers in how to be the best Camp Herrlich leaders they can be. Day Camp LIT applicants must have finished 8th grade and Sleepaway Camp LIT applicants must be 15 years old before the program begins.  The program is open to anyone who meets the age requirements, you do not have to have been a camper with us before.

Summer 2024 LIT Program Dates are July 8th - August 2nd!

If you are accepted to the Leader In Training Program, we will send you a link to the parent portal with forms that must be completed in addition to the application. The cost for this program is $500, $250 of which is due upon acceptance into the program, the rest is due by June 1st, 2024.

The following questions must be completed by the Leader in Training applicant.
Please answer the following questions as thoroughly and honestly as you can.This program consists of comprehensive leadership training and starts with you wanting to be a part of it, get out of your comfort zone, and learn things about yourself.
List any extra-curricular activities you have participated in during the last few years. Tell us what you like about them.
List any experience you have had with children (club work, scouts, tutoring, playground work, baby sitting, teaching Sunday school, helping at nursery or elementary schools, etc.)

Our LIT Program supports young leaders as they step into the working world. The program has two pathways that you can choose from. 

 LIT Group A will look deeper into the foundation of a leader, strengthening the leadership qualities that you already possess as well as introducing new approaches. LIT A will offer more workshops and get a closer glimpse at what goes into  working at camp. LITs that select Group A will still get to participate in camp activities.

LIT Group B offers an introduction to leadership with a focus on peer relationships. Group B will have more camp activities in their day to day schedule. Group B will still participate in many of our workshops as well as the LIT Service Project. 

  All of the LITs will participate in group assignment days, planning and implementing Carnival Day, and working on the LIT service project.
