Students Amplifying Your Voices (SAYV)
We created a more student-dedicated spaces in the SJSU College of Information, Data and Society that are completely student-run and focus on sharing student voices.

As part of our development, we have expanded our prior project, Your Voices (https://ischoolblogs.sjsu.edu/yourvoices/your-voices-learning-listening-and-sharing/), with the following goals for SAYV:

1. Have space for students to have interaction with each other by:
  • Creating threads
  • Implementing student-centered spaces where students can exchange ideas or experiences with each other freely
2. Share stories:
  • Through podcasts that people can listen to in their own time
  • Making stories feel more real and personable
  • That elevate the stories of historically underrepresented students

3. Giving back resources and information to the community by:

  • Sharing job postings with each other
  • Informing each other about news or stories
  • Encouraging students to get involved in more networking and resume-building experiences
