The Lakes FC U14 Girls' play in the Western Bay of Plenty U14 Girls' competition. This competition is split into two divisions, Kaimai and Koru divisions.
The Kaimai division is the premier WBOP division for this age. Regular games are played on Saturday mornings with two additional mid-season cross over days where WBOP teams play teams from the equivalent Waikato division.
LAKES FC U14 GIRLS' ACADEMY TEAM
Lakes FC will be selecting an Academy team to play in the Kaimai division of the competition. The team will be identified through a process of ID sessions.
The Academy team will:
- Train under the Academy structure and coach.
- Train 2-3 trainings a week.
- Play in the Kaimai Division of the Western BOP U14 Girls competition.
- Attend the 3-day Weir Rose Tournament (Cambridge) in October.
The 2025 U14s Academy team will be coached by Mark Chapman.
PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
Players born 2011 - 2013 are eligible to trial for the U14 Girls' Academy team.
U14 GIRLS’ ACADEMY I.D SESSIONS
Saturday 15th March, 10.00am - 11.30am, Linton Park, Edmund Road.
Tuesday 18th March 4.00pm - 5.30pm, Linton Park, Edmund Road.
COST
The cost to play in the Lakes FC U14 Girls' Academy team is $500 (includes club fees).
The Weir Rose Bowl Tournament is an additional cost, but the team and club undertake fundraising activities to keep tournament costs as low as possible.
TRIAL ATTENDANCE
It is preferable that players attend both ID Sessions. If you would like to trial, but are unable to make the sessions please contact us.

OTHER TEAMS
There will be multiple Lakes FC U14 Girls' teams. You only need to attend the ID Sessions if you would like to be considered for the Academy Team.
