In accordance with the Code of Conduct - International Conference on Marine Bioinvasions (CC), the Society of Marine Bioinvasions (SSMB) and the Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Language (IDEAL) Committee would like to ensure that the society provides a safe, inclusive, and engaging platform for all conference-goers. We expect all conference participants to be respectful and inclusive of others, communicate with positive intent, avoid harassment of any kind, promote positive behavior, uphold academic integrity and ethics, and safeguard public interest in matters of health and safety.
Discriminatory speech or behavior, verbal and nonverbal harassment, offensive language, sexually inappropriate content, inappropriate use of images/media, bullying, intimidation, stalking, shaming, assault, and/or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. The SSMB reserves the right to enforce the CC in any manner deemed appropriate given the severity of the transgression.
The purpose of this form is to report (anonymously, if desired) any unacceptable behavior that you experience or witness during the conference. If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, as described above, please immediately contact a designated SSMB/IDEAL representative during the event (or as soon as possible) or fill out the form below. An SSMB or IDEAL member will be stationed at the registration desk throughout the conference. If, however, you experience or witness behavior that represents an immediate and imminent threat to yourself and the public, please contact venue security or the appropriate local authorities.
