Vamos Outdoors is a nonprofit organization located in Skagit county that is focused on empowering Latinx, multilingual and migrant students while connecting students to the land we live on. This includes outdoor adventures such as backpacking, mountain biking, and rock climbing! The Skagit Alpine Club is supporting this group by funding two Saturday visits to Riverstone Climbing gym for a group of high school students to experience rock climbing. Skagit Alpine Club will be asking for volunteer Belayers to support this program and get to know high school students from the Vamos program to encourage them in their pursuit of outdoor experiences. We will need 6 belayers for each of the two dates listed, and are hoping to finalize the times for each day based on when people can volunteer.
