Post-Doctoral Advisors-

Dedicated postdoctoral students to advise are imperative to our professional development and networking activities. Great opportunity to gain leadership, mentorship, and organizational skills for your CV.

Treasurer-

One of the most important board seats, this person is responsible for attending treasurer workshops by the Student Org Development & Administration and serve as the primary signatory on financial accounts and pay organization-related bills.

Activities Director-

Looking for a motivated student who is passionate about event planning and leading our social activities committee. Primarily facilitates planning and execution of around one social event per month and attend monthly MicroERA Executive Board meetings. This role will also assist with professional development and fundraising directors.

Departmental Representative(s)-

Highlighting the breadth of microbial systems research done across campus is vital to the mission of MicroERA. We are seeking graduate students and post-docs from departments and programs across campus to provide feedback and recommendations to the board. Duties are to attend monthly MicroERA Executive Board Meetings and help promote our events in your home departments.

To help in the planning and decision making process, MicroERA has numerous opportunities for our members to serve on committees. Please select any committees you are interested in serving on. Duties include attending meetings as scheduled by the chair, and participate in planning activities.

Committee seats:

Social Events- Plan, attend, and assess at least one social event per month

Professional Development and Training- Develop and execute professional development and training activities

Recruitment- Assist the membership director on efforts to build our membership and meet the needs of current members

Fundraising-Facilitate activities and events fund our social and professional events

Research Symposium- Planning the yearly spring student-led research sympoisum

Social Media- Assist the social media director with social media posts, including event coverage and promotions
