Passport to Israel Interest
The Myra & Robert Kraft Passport to Israel Fund is an amazing program that TBS participates in through the Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP), with TBS contributions from the Aransky Passport to Israel Fund internally.

The program is designed to make trips to Israel more financially accessible for TBS children. Parents sign up their child between 3rd and 7th grade, and make a commitment to contribute $700 over the course of 3-7 years to a fund in the child's name. When that child is a teen, getting ready to go on a qualifying trip to Israel, those funds are matched by an additional $700 from CJP. Additionally, throughout the years of the child's enrollment, TBS will make contributions from the Jerry Aransky Passport to Israel fund, with the aim of making it even easier to commit to a trip to Israel.

FAQ
**What are qualifying trips?

Generally, any organized trip in the summer leading up to 10th grade or later with a camp, school, fellowship, etc lasting 7 or more days qualifies, as well as any other organized trip lasting 7 or more days, as long as it is a trip for teens/young adults. You cannot use the funds for a family trip, or, for example, for TBS's trip to Israel. If your child doesn't currently attend a summer camp or another program that would naturally push them towards a particular organized trip to Israel, we can help you find a program that makes sense for them as they get older.

**What happens to the funds if my child decides not to go?

If, at any point, you decide to withdraw your child from the program, the full amount that you have paid into the program will be returned to you. There's no penalty!

**My child is past 7th grade and I'm just hearing about this now! Can we participate?

If your child is older than 7th grade, please indicate below and Jodi will be in touch to discuss your options.

**How much does it cost my family per year?

That depends on when you enroll. If your child is currently in 3rd grade, you will make $100 contributions for 7 years. If your child is currently in 7th grade, you will make $200 contributions for the first 3 years and a $100 contribution in the final year.

**How much will TBS contribute to the fund?

TBS will make small contributions to the fund every year that you are contributing. The amount each year will be based on the donations to TBS's Jerry Aransky Passport to Israel Fund in that year. We don't know exactly how much will be contributed to each child's fund each year, but it will likely be between $18-$100.
