Service Reflection Form
As you reflect on the ways in which you have served others, remember the story of Jesus washing the feet of His disciples at the last supper in John 13.  "Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you."
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

No act of service is too small. No person or group is unworthy of our care.

Have you helped a neighbor when it was slippery outside by salting the sidewalk or shoveling the driveway?
Have you helped a neighbor by picking up groceries when they were isolated at home?
Have you visited with your grandparents?
Did you reach out to someone who was having a bad day at school?
Did you volunteer to help with an event or group at the parish?

Service is not just traveling to another community or making plans to work at a food pantry, though those are important as well. Service is a way of life for Catholics.

Please record your service activities below at the end of the year as one collective form.
If any particular service especially moves you and you'd like to write a specific reflection at the time of the service, we'd love to hear about it!

Corporal Works of Mercy
In Matthew 25:31-46, Jesus lays out these very acts as those by which we will be judged. There are many ways these can be performed, from the most everyday acts of care for others to the most sacrificial service project.
Reflect on your actions and check all boxes that match what type of service you did.

Spiritual Works of Mercy
These are the spiritual counterparts to the Corporal Works of Mercy. Jesus teaches these acts as well, throughout the Gospels. Caring for others spiritually is just as important as caring for their physical needs, and often the two go hand in hand.
Reflect on your actions and check all boxes that match what type of service you did.
