Hollywood Theatre Community Benefit Screening Application
The Hollywood Theatre’s Community Benefit Screening program offers local nonprofit organizations the opportunity to host movie screenings at the Hollywood. The Hollywood will provide staffing, film booking, and technical assistance, as well as access to our 384-seat auditorium. 100% of proceeds from these events will go to the fundraising organization, less costs for film licensing.

Please note that while interest in this program is high, we have a very limited number of programming spots available. Organizations may apply once per calendar year. Applications are reviewed on a quarterly basis (tentative review dates are March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 30).

What is your mission? *
Why is the Hollywood a good fit for this fundraiser? *
When would you like to hold your event? Please note that the most competitive applications will be flexible on dates and will be open to weekend matinee timeslots. At least 5-6 months lead time is preferred, as applications are assessed on a quarterly basis. We will not be booking any events in  December or January due to conflicts with existing HT programming. *
Please choose 3 films you’d like to show, ranked in order of preference. As a tip, time-honored and well-known narrative films that are a few decades past their initial release date—and not widely available on streaming services—are more likely to draw a crowd and generate more proceeds (and if you’re not sure what films, we’d be happy to help you select an appropriate title).

Please provide any additional event details and run of show - include guest speakers, introductions, panel discussions, lobby tabling, etc. *
Who is your target audience for this event? How do you plan to promote the event? *
Who will be the point of contact for this event? Please include their email address. *
The fine print
The Hollywood Theatre reserves final approval over ticket prices. Licensing fees for film rights are typically paid to film studios as a percentage of ticket sales. Thus, setting a high ticket price might drastically increase the cost of licensing the film. Occasionally studios will take a flat fee, but this will have to be negotiated on a per film basis.

All event promotion must acknowledge the Hollywood Theatre.

The Hollywood reserves the right to cancel or reschedule screenings for any reason. Events may be moved to a smaller upstairs auditorium if advance ticket sales are low.

Live music or other performance can be disruptive to other events and therefore requires special approval.
