Composting Program Overview:

1. Participants will be given a numbered bucket
2. Buckets can be dropped off Monday mornings between 7-8:00 a.m. at the Drop-Off location on: 1801 E Sunny Dunes Road Palm Springs (Prescott Preserve Maintenance Building) under the pergola. From Sunrise turn on Desert Chapel Drive.
3. A rinsed bucket will be placed at the same location for pick up

4. Accepted materials:

*Fruit and Veggie Scraps

*Coffee Grounds, Filters, and Tea Bags

*Grains, Breads, Cereals

*Legumes

*Paper napkins and towels

*Flowers

*Shredded newsprint

NO ANIMAL PRODUCTS

5. If you are interested in learning more about composting or volunteering with the composting program please visit the Desert Compost website and click Sign Up to Volunteer or contact OLT Board Member and Compost Project Leader David Lahti at: davidl@oswitlandtrust.org. We offer free compost training on the first Monday of every month from 7:00-8:30 a.m.and welcome all trained volunteers to compost with us every Monday!
