Judge Registration for the Junior Provincial Debate Championship - March 10, 2024 -

Thank you for registering to judge this national qualifying tournament, hosted by Balmoral Hall, in person, at 630 Westminster Avenue. The Junior Provincial Debate Championship will occur on Sunday, March 10, 2024. Please complete this form, which will confirm your attendance as a judge.

* Please note that daylight savings begins on this date, and clocks will move forward one hour, from 2:00 AM to 3:00 AM.

Registration for judges will be at 11:45 AM, with a briefing for judges to follow. 

Coffee and snacks will be provided.

Prior to the live event, judges will receive an email that includes a briefing video, a description of the event, and an explanation of the scoring range. Watching this video may be helpful if you are new to judging.

At the completion of each round, judges will be able to confer for 5 minutes before submitting a ballot. There will also be an opportunity for judges to provide comments (1 success and 1 goal per competitor) after each round. The last round of debate, including conferral and comments, will end at 4:45 PM. Please plan to be available until 5:00 PM in case there are any unforeseen delays.
