Your responses will determine whether or not you will be fit for the role we are looking for.

We are using the Unity engine to develop the game, you should have a solid foundation in C# and Unity in general, as well as Git!

Please remember, you aren't applying for a job and there is currently no monetary gain. This is an effort by passionate members of the community to make something awesome!

You will be required to:
  • Give and take constructive criticism.
  • Handle multiple assignments at once while staying organized.
  • Contribute a decent and appropriate amount of progress regularly.
  • Be able to meet general deadlines, should they occur.
  • Communicate often and be transparent about progress you make.
Teamwork is very important to us, so it's a requirement that you're active in communication and a team player! We're looking for developers who want to enjoy the journey with us, and aren't afraid to take initiative to drive the game forward quickly.

Even as a hobbyist project, this is an ambitious game with a lot of contributions tied to it. To be a developer, we require a minimum amount of progress on a regular basis.

Please only apply if you are prepared to prioritize the game's development in your free time.

What's a coder in Restitched?
Coders are the programming wizards behind making Restitched playable. The roles of a coder vary as needed, and there are a variety of tasks for multiple areas of expertise. As a coder, your role will be to help us develop the game's core mechanics. Tasks may include programming UI, working with player movement, tweaking physics, creating or expanding in-game level editor tools, building custom developer tools (to bridge the gap between artist and engine), adding entirely new gameplay features, and more.

What IDE do you use? *
Are you familiar with user-generated content (UGC) games? *
Are you willing to use Discord and Trello for the project on a consistent basis, and also maintain very regular communication amongst team members? *
Communication is essential to making a team work. We are looking for people who have good communication skills, and are very active with the other team members.
We use Trello for project management and Discord for communication.
Are you willing to sign legal contracts? *
We require all team members to sign legal contracts that bind them in agreement with Trixel Creative, LLC.
This is to protect the platform, developers, and all content involved. As a developer, you will join as an "independent contractor", which includes a confidentiality agreement and release of copyright.

We currently work as hobbyists, but our contracts ensure your fair inclusion in any profit/royalty plans if they occur in the future.
Are you aware that this is volunteer-based, and not monetarily compensated? *
Monetization and future royalties are not out of the question, but we're actively exploring this both legally and ethically (given our team structure and development history). As such, we cannot promise it at this time.

You're encouraged to apply because you're passionate about the game and our effort!
Are you willing to work with deadlines? *
This specific role may often be reliant on sudden deadlines, given the nature of marketing involvement. This role is also tied in with tasks for other roles, so providing your piece of the puzzle for others to use is vital.

We usually allow developers to work at their own pace, and don't impose deadlines. However, it's sometimes necessary.
Roughly how many hours each week are you willing to dedicate to the project? *
We understand that projects are taken on during personal time, and things such as work and education take priority. You are encouraged to contribute at least 3 hours a week to the project, however, we realize that hours may vary from week-to-week.

In general, we look at the task completion rate more than the hours contributed. As long as the task is done properly and in a timely manner, we don't look into how your spare time is offered.

Do you have other skills that you think could benefit the project?
If yes, please explain which skills:
