J-BAY WIND FARM MTB & TRAIL RUN 2020
As race organisers of the J-Bay Windfarm MTB Classic we announce the cancellation of this much loved event due to the emergency prohibitions for events and gatherings over 100 people as announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa on 15 March 2020.
"We are disappointed to have to cancel this event which brings our community together each year, but due to the size of the event and associated health risks, the event is not viable" said Peter Oosthuizen, Managing Director of the Jeffreys Bay Windfarm, title sponsors of the event.
A number of events in South Africa and across the globe have been cancelled over the last few weeks to prevent the spread of COVID-19 which has already claimed thousands of lives globally.
