Spruce Hill Community Association is collaborating with the University of Pennsylvania's Office of Social Equity and Community and Office of Sustainability to identify locations that have an annual problem with untidy piles of trash, discarded furniture and other items at the end of the Spring semester.  Goals of the collaboration include keeping streets and sidewalks clear of items discarded during moveout as well as creating systems to keep useful items from going to the landfill and to make them available to members of the community when possible.
