Who:Any student K-8th grade can
register. Group performances are allowed but only one performance, per student,
per show. Talents should be presented in 2-3 minutes. Unfortunately,
we only have time for 20 acts. We will have a lottery to determine
the show line-up if we have too many registrations
When: 4/12 is the last day to register.
Rehearsals are from 3:40 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. every Tuesday
from April 23rd to May 14th (Exact days: April 23, 30,
May 7, 14). Rehearsal is a time to practice and get some feedback, not to
create a routine. Thursday May 16th is our performance day. The Student
Performance will be at 2:15 pm-during school. The Parent Performance
will be the same day, doors open at 5:00 in the Gymnasium
Where:
On Tuesdays students go to the cafeteria right after school (without leaving the building) for roll call and snack, then they will go to the gym for practice. (Kindergarteners are picked up from their classroom and escorted to the cafeteria. First graders are watched as they walk from their classroom back door to the cafeteria doors.)Instructors:
Carissa Soto-Rodriguez is the Middle School, English Language Arts teacher at Foster and has a real passion for Performance Art. She has produced and taught multiple programs to our students throughout the years including Foster’s Summer Art Camp. Ms. Kiara is one of Foster's ArtistYear AmeriCorps Resident Teaching Artists this year. She is a recent Colorado College graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Theatre. Prior to college, she was a vocal major at the School for the Creative and Performing Arts in Lexington, KY
Fee:
No fee. Our instructors and staff have volunteered their time. We will contact all registrants by email to inform you if you will or will not be a part of this year’s show by Monday April 15th.______________________________ § _________________________________
Quiénes:

El último día para registrarse es el 12 de abril. Los ensayos serán cada martes de 3:40pm a 5:00 pm, del 23 de abril al 14 de mayo. (Días exactos: 23, 30 de abril, 7, 14 de mayo). Este es un momento para practicar y obtener algunos comentarios, no para crear una rutina. El jueves 16 de mayo es nuestro día de actuación. La presentación para los
estudiantes será a las 2:15 pm, durante la escuela. La actuación de los
padres será el mismo día, las puertas se abren a las 5:00 pm en el Gimnasio
Dónde:
El martes los estudiantes se dirigirán a la cafetería (sin salir del edificio) una vez finalizadas las clases, para tomar lista y comer una botana y se irán al gimnasio para practicar. Los estudiantes de kínder son recogidos de su salón de clases y escoltados a la cafetería. Los alumnos de primer grado son observados mientras caminan desde la puerta trasera de su salón de clases hasta las puertas de la cafeteria.
Instructores:
Carissa Soto-Rodríguez es maestra de lengua y literatura en inglés en la escuela intermedia en Foster y tiene una verdadera pasión por el teatro. Ha producido y enseñado múltiples programas a nuestros estudiantes a lo largo de los años, incluyendo el Campamento de Arte de Verano de Foster. Sra. Kiara es una de los artistas docentes residentes de Foster's ArtistYear AmeriCorps este año. Ella se graduó recientemente de Colorado College con una Licenciatura en Psicología y Teatro.
