The Norm Hummell Award of Excellence
Who is eligible: Any registered leader of a Cub Scout Pack, Scouts BSA Troop, Venturing Crew or Ship in the Armadillo District in Austin, Texas.  

Purpose of Award: To recognize Scout leaders who have provided exceptional leadership and service to their Pack, Troop, Crew or Ship and who exemplify the principles of Scouting (Scout Oath and Law).

Usually, only one Award is granted to a leader in any one unit.  However, two leaders from the same unit may receive this Award if the unit has 51-100 registered Scouts and three if the unit has more than 100 Scouts.

A person may only receive this Award once, though please nominate someone even if you are unsure whether they've received it before.  Past nominees who were not selected for this Award remain eligible.  

These awards will be presented at the Armadillo District Awards Banquet held in early 2024 (date and location to be announced).

Any nominees who are not selected for the Award will be privately recognized as having been nominated and they will be thanked for their service!
