Banded Peak School Council is a structured group of parents, principals, teachers and community representatives who work together to effectively support and enhance student learning. The Council provide a means for members of the school community to consult with and provide advice to the principal and the school board. Friends of Banded Peak Society operates with the same purpose and is responsible for funding earned through the Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis Commission (AGLC).
School Council and Friends of Banded Peak Society meet on the third Wednesday of every month during the school year (except December and June). All members, including all parents of students who attend Banded Peak, are welcome to attend meetings. The Council is responsible for hosting events and fundraisers throughout the year, providing funding for field trips and other teacher requests, organizing volunteers for school events and initiatives, and offering a platform for members to communicate directly with school and district administration.
