Post Coronavirus Survey: In-person survey or virtual learning application
Northampton County Public Schools is conducting this survey to learn about your decision for educational plans for 2nd Semester (2021-2022). During these post coronavirus times, it is important to hear from our families about their child's school plans to attend in person vs. virtual learning. If a virtual decision is made, there is an application process to ensure your child's success in a more independent environment.
The goal of this survey is to analyze data so we can provide our schools and teachers with time needed to plan and support all students. Your feedback is essential to ensure we continue to provide a high-quality learning experience. Most parents have communicated the desire for students to return to school based on the missed support from teachers and social/emotional experience learning with peers. If a parent/guardian selects to apply for virtual school for their child, there is an application process that includes a required recommendation from the school principal and then a final approval step in the process by the county office. The recommendation includes information needed to make a decision that will ensure each child's success virtually. Areas to consider range from technology support to an ability to actively participate while learning from home, the ability to learn successfully in a more independent learning environment, and successful attendance trends and patterns.
Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey and virtual request and application process.
