The Global Strategic Litigation Council 
The Global Strategic Litigation Council ('the Council') was founded in September 2021 to empower civil society to advance the rights of migrants and refugees through coordinated strategic litigation and legal advocacy. We now have a growing membership of over 350 NGOs, refugee leaders, lawyers, advocates and academics from every region of the world.

The Council supports its members to share knowledge, collectively identify priorities, and execute litigation and advocacy strategies to advance the protection of people on the move.

Due to the sensitive nature of strategic litigation and legal advocacy work, the GSLC Steering Committee has determined that membership will not be open to government officials (other than those employed by a national human rights institution, a public defense office, or an academic institution), and has requested that all new applicants complete an attestation to this effect.
