2022 CEPSSC Position Summaries & Application Form

Year Representative

There will be one Year Representative per year of study who will be voted in by students (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and above). Year Representatives are responsible for attending weekly CEPSSC Board Meetings and will vote on college decisions proposed by clubs and other CEPS and CEPSSC members. In addition, Year Representatives will be active council members through assisting to run events, social media campaigns, communicating with the undergraduate population and offering ideas to better the lives of CEPS students.
 

Chairperson

There will be one Chairperson appointed by council (voting will not extend to the entire CEPS undergraduate population). The Chairperson will chair every CEPSSC board meeting in accordance with Roberts' Rules of Order. The Chairperson will ensure efficient communication and a conductive atmosphere for discussion during board meetings. The Chair is also responsible for preparing the agendas for the board meetings.


Vice President of Finance

There will be one Vice President of Finance who will be voted in by students. The VP Finance is responsible for attending weekly CEPSSC Board Meetings and will vote on college decisions proposed by clubs and other CEPS and CEPSSC members. The VP Finance:

- shall be one of the three signing officers for CEPSSC funds

- shall receive all CEPSSC credits, ensure payment of all debits and keep an accurate account of all records, i.e. Shall be principal executor of funds for CEPSSC. 

- shall provide a financial report and budget at such times as may be requested by CEPSSC or Student Affairs in accordance with the Student Organization Policy (SOP). 

- shall be responsible for preparing and submitting an annual verified financial report to Student Affairs

- shall be responsible for providing the council elect with a proposed budget for their term of office

- shall be responsible for compiling and working with the University auditors in the event of a College-wide audit

- shall be responsible for collecting club budgets and expenditures each semester, and distributing them as needed, at budget meetings or otherwise

- shall be the contact person for PDRs (Petitions, Delegations, and Representations) submitted to CEPSSC

- shall also collect any necessary reports from any organizations that have been granted a PDR seeking financial aid, as outlined in the Petitions, Delegations and Representations Policy Document

- shall be the representative for CEPSSC for any external financial committees or meetings

- shall be responsible for managing all CEPSSC Merchandise Loans and ensuring that the incoming VP (Finances) is aware of all loans needing repayment and the terms and conditions of said contracts

- shall conduct a financial review of the CEPSSC services near the end of the winter semester.
