GSOC Strike Volunteer Sign-Up
Please sign up to help us make our strike a success! We will be holding TWO simultaneous picket lines, one in-person (socially distanced) picket line, and one virtual picket line. We need your help to make it happen!

Our in-person strike will be held in WSQ Park area from 10am - 2pm (EST), Monday - Friday.
Our online strike will also be held from 10am - 2pm (EST), Monday - Friday

First, please provide us with some basic details before signing up to help with the strike (volunteer on the picket line, be a speaker or performer, or give a teach in, online or in-person) on the next page. NOTE: we welcome the help of NYU students and workers AND the help of supporters! Non-NYU students and workers, undergraduates, and supporters can all sign up to be picket leaders, Marshals, or to speak/perform.

After you sign up, someone from the picket line committee will reach out to you the night before your shift, or the morning of, in order to confirm and coordinate details.

Can you contribute to the strike mutual aid fund? In the event of a strike, this fund would help workers facing economic hardship. For any strike lasting longer than 2 weeks, GSOC members are eligible for $275/week in strike benefits from the UAW. However, hourly and master's student workers may be particularly vulnerable to lost pay, and some workers may not be able to afford a gap in income.
