Connections Nature Play is a childcare and educational program for preschool-aged children brought to you by the Diamond Valley Sustainable Living Centre. The Turner Valley Legion, located at 121 Sunset Blvd in Diamond Valley, is the 'home base' for the program, and we will be exploring and playing in nature within walking distance of this location.
Children must be 3 to 6 years of age (not yet in grade 1) and independent when toileting in order to attend.
Connections Nature Play follows the Foothills School Division calendar and is closed on all school breaks (holidays, PD days, etc.).
Please fill out this form to register your child in Connections Nature Play. Registration is now open for Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Families can choose from Core or Extended Hours, and from one, two or three days per week.
Connections Nature Play 2023/2024 Monthly Participation Fees:
- Core Hours (9:30am to 2:30pm)
$225/month for 1 day per week
$450 per month for 2 days per week
$675/month for 3 days per week
- Extended Hours (8:30am to 4:00pm)
$275/month for 1 day per week
$550/month for 2 days per week
$825/month for 3 days per week
We are applying for a childcare license to help reduce the costs for parents and ensure our program meets or exceeds legislated child care standards. We maintain a clothing library to help out families as well which includes base layers, rain gear, mitts, toques and winter outdoor wear.
An annual registration fee of $60 also applies to each family, regardless of the number of children they are registering. This fee will entitle your family to free programming opportunities, such as Jr Maker workshops and more - stay tuned for more info!
In order to reserve your spot(s), payment for the first month plus annual registration fee must be made via e-transfer to
dvslc.treasurer@gmail.com with the following info in the memo or notes field:
"Month/Year - Child's Name - Days/Core or Extended + reg fee"
For example: "Sept/23 - Latisha Cohen - Mon/Wed Core + reg fee"
At the end of the form, you will be given an opportunity to read and agree to the 'fine print' that covers all the details.
Once registration form and payment have been submitted, please allow 5-10 business days for your personal confirmation email to arrive.
