$50 for large plots and $25 for raised beds.

The garden is part of a nonprofit organization. Plot rental fees are used to pay for compost and to pay for water.  Occasionally, we have expenses to replace faucets or hose fittings. The garden and church have a mower we use to manage grass and weeds around the garden. Sometimes proceeds are used to help maintain the beehive area.

Donations to the garden are always welcome.  We would like to replace our bee hives that didn't make it through the winter.  We also like to provide gardener scholarships when we can.

With the on going 72nd Bond project, we will have to close four of our garden beds this season for construction.  Hopefully we won't have much other impact on our growing season.

Gardening Guidelines 2023
1.      Enjoy your gardening experience. The primary purpose of gardening at Common Earth Community Garden is to provide a meaningful outdoor experience, grow fantastic local sources of fresh nutritious food, and to learn and gather together in a safe and socially conscious environment.
2. The CECG steering committee, gardeners, and property managers of the church are expected to work together developing a collaborative and consensus building atmosphere to evaluate and improve on the gardening experiences each day, week and year to improve on stewardship practices and sustainability of the garden.
3. Conservation practices are encouraged. This includes water conservation, composting, and weeding. Water conservation practices are every gardener’s responsibility (notify a member of the steering committee when there are leaks). Composting organic materials used in the garden help to regenerate the soil (follow the directions posted in the compost area of the garden). HAUL OUT YOUR OWN TRASH. Weeding reduces the spread of noxious weeds. Please weed the pathways and common areas around your plot. Tools in the shed are for you to use. Please lock the shed when you are done.
