All information shared between you and Ceryn will remain confidential. As a therapist, Ceryn abides by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework for Good Practice, something that she applies to all of her 1:1 client work, including Soul Support.
Ceryn is also registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, and collects and stores any Personal Data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations and Data Protection Act (2018).

This is for your safety and confidentiality.
If Ceryn is concerned that you or someone else is in danger of serious harm, she may be legally or ethically obliged to disclose this information with the relevant authorities. In this case she would always aim to discuss this with you first. The situations where this may be necessary include:
• If you express intent to harm yourself or another person
• If Ceryn believes a child or vulnerable adult is at risk of harm
• If a court of law instructs Ceryn to provide information
• If you share information about a proposed act of terrorism, or share details of your intent to carry out other illegal activities
All clients will be asked to supply an emergency contact to provide a safeguarding opportunity if they express an intent to harm themselves or are taken seriously ill while physically alone during an online session.
