Ceryn's role in the Soul Support relationship
Soul Support provides you with a safe and supportive environment in which to overcome the barriers and work through the blockages that are holding you back.

As your Guide, Ceryn endeavours to do this in a professional and ethical manner. This will not only involve adhering to the ethical standards set out below, but also ensuring that Ceryn is focused completely on your needs during our sessions together.

Ceryn commits to working with you to the best of her ability, and will ensure that she is receiving appropriate supervision and completing ongoing personal and professional development in order to do this
Your role in the Soul Support relationship
Soul Support works best if you remain open, honest and committed to the process at all times.

Although Soul Support aims to bring about growth and insight, the process can at times feel challenging. Your progression is important, and so you are always encouraged to complete the actions you agree with Ceryn between each session. However, self-care is a vital part of this process – and of soul work in general – and so you should always view your actions list through the lens of self-care, and know there is no criticism for anything that cannot be completed or achieved.

If you have any concerns or are unhappy with any aspect of your Soul Support journey, you should raise these issues with Ceryn honestly and promptly so that they can be discussed and a solution found that will enable you to move forward in the best possible way.
Confidentiality
All information shared between you and Ceryn will remain confidential. As a therapist, Ceryn abides by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework for Good Practice, something that she applies to all of her 1:1 client work, including Soul Support.

Ceryn is also registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, and collects and stores any Personal Data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations and Data Protection Act (2018).

For further information on Ceryn’s use and storage of data, please see her data and privacy policy at the following address: https://www.cerynrowntree.com/important-information

In order to further protect confidentiality, in entering into this contract you confirm that your sessions will be undertaken in a space within which you are alone and will not be overheard or interrupted. This is for your safety and confidentiality.

If Ceryn is concerned that you or someone else is in danger of serious harm, she may be legally or ethically obliged to disclose this information with the relevant authorities. In this case she would always aim to discuss this with you first. The situations where this may be necessary include:
• If you express intent to harm yourself or another person
• If Ceryn believes a child or vulnerable adult is at risk of harm
• If a court of law instructs Ceryn to provide information
• If you share information about a proposed act of terrorism, or share details of your intent to carry out other illegal activities

All clients will be asked to supply an emergency contact to provide a safeguarding opportunity if they express an intent to harm themselves or are taken seriously ill while physically alone during an online session.
Review and termination of the Soul Support relationship
Within our working relationship it is important that we remain focused on progress towards your overall goals.

Ceryn will review progress to date with you at the start of every session and discuss your next steps, with the aim always being to keep our Soul Support relationship short and focused on your best interests.

The decision to terminate Soul Support sits with you as the client, although Ceryn would always encourage working together towards a planned ending within which we can fully reflect upon progress and ensure we are both comfortable with arrangements for any future support you may need.

In any event, Ceryn respects your right to terminate the Soul Support relationship as and when feels right to you.

In the event that Ceryn believes she is no longer best placed to support your needs, she may suggest referral to an alternative Guide or Therapist. In this case, Ceryn will discuss this fully with you and agree an appropriate way forward.

In the event of illness or other personal circumstances on Ceryn’s part meaning that an end to the working relationship is required, Ceryn will provide you with as much notice of this as possible and will always endeavour to discuss next steps with you in full.

If you need to cancel a session, please do so as early as possible. In accordance with Ceryn’s cancellation policy, any sessions cancelled with less than six hours’ notice by the client may incur a charge of 25% of the agreed session cost. Meanwhile Ceryn also reserves the right to charge a client in full for any sessions they do not attend without any prior cancellation or rescheduling.

Meanwhile the client will be entitled to a 25% discount on the cost of their next session for any sessions cancelled by Ceryn with less than six hours’ notice.

Payment
Unless otherwise agreed, you will be asked to pay upfront via bank transfer or Paypal at the outset of your work with Ceryn.

If you have any problems paying ahead of time please contact Ceryn, who will make every effort to work with you and agree a solution.

Where payment is outstanding for more than two sessions and an alternative solution has not been agreed, Ceryn reserves the right to cancel any further sessions until this payment has been received.

All payments are requested in GBP. Where this is not the client’s local currency, the rate of exchange will be discussed at the time of their first session. However it is important to state that rates of currency exchange can fluctuate; should this fluctuation cause problems at any time during your therapeutic relationship, this should be raised with Ceryn as soon as possible.

Soul Support costs £247 for three sessions of £480 for six, unless otherwise agreed and confirmed in writing at the outset of your Soul Support relationship with Ceryn.

Please note that refunds are not given once sessions have been completed. Any sessions paid upfront which have to be cancelled may be refunded minus any cancellation fees as outlined above.
Timeliness
All sessions last for ninety minutes unless otherwise agreed. Please make every effort to begin your session on time, or to notify Ceryn as early as possible if you are likely to be late.

Please note that the scheduling of client sessions means it is not always possible to make up time lost due to lateness at the end of the session. Consequently, any sessions which begin after their scheduled time due to client lateness may be cut shorter than the planned ninety minutes.
Working online
Online work brings with it a range of potential challenges. Please make every effort to check your internet connection at least 15 minutes before each session. If technology prevents us making the session via a video calling app, we will rearrange to a telephone session.
Contact between sessions
If you need to inform Ceryn of any issues with or changes to future sessions, or speak to her about any matter related to your work together, please contact ceryn@cerynrowntree.com. Ceryn will respond to all emails as soon as possible, although please note that this email address is only manned between 9am and 7pm between client sessions, not including weekends when Ceryn takes at least one day away from emails.

Ceryn is unable to offer emergency support. If you require immediate support between sessions, or are concerned about your own emotional wellbeing or the wellbeing of a client during this time, please contact your local emergency healthcare provider.
