DAYS WITHOUT ART, Artist Submissions:
Medicine Wheel Productions (MWP) is hosting a celebration on February 7, National Black HIV Awareness Day
The day of mourning recognizes the lives lost to AIDS. The moving visual demonstration of life without art symbolizes the vibrant beauty AIDS takes away from us all.
We will commence the celebration with a 24 hour pre-recorded "live" stream on MWP YouTube Channel on February 7, 2021 in recognition of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. We will host an artist workshop/online open mic once a week; every Wednesday from From Feb 10- Nov 6, 2021 6:00-7:00 PM.
Please fill out the form below if you are interested in performing a piece, hosting an open mic, and/or conducting a workshop. We welcome all art mediums however, we ask that it speaks to key themes such as health, wellness, equity, inclusion, awareness, resilience and/or the importance of artistic expression.
A performance is something either pre-recorded or something you can record and send in.
A workshop will consist of 1 hr hosting on the MW Zoom account; teaching their medium, such as a writing workshop, or hosting an open mic with a 15 min feature (totally up them) $250. Honorarium for workshops.
Please Note: ALL WORKSHOPS AND OPEN MICS ARE WEDNESDAYS 6:00 to 7:00 PM on the following dates: Feb.10, 2021, Feb. 17, 2021, Feb. 24, 2021, March 3, April 7, May 5, June 2, July 7, August, 4, Sept. 1, Oct. 6, Nov.6. Please provide two dates
