We are excited to host the 2024 RHS Prom on April 13 at the House of Blues. As with
every district and school event, we look forward to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all students. Thus, the possession and consumption of alcohol and/or drugs by high school students, particularly at or before these social functions, is always of deep concern. Under no circumstances will the Rockwall Independent School District (“RISD” or “District”) and/or Rockwall High School tolerate any violation of the Student Code of Conduct at this event.
RISD Board Policies outline the District’s restrictions regarding the possession or use of alcohol or drugs at school-sponsored or school-related functions. Depending on the nature of the violation, a student could be placed in a disciplinary alternative education setting (“DAEP”). For all students and their guests, mature and responsible behavior is expected. Every student and parent should realize that privileges, such as participation in extracurricular and school-sponsored activities, including graduation, may be forfeited if a student violates District policy or the Student Code of Conduct including the use of alcohol or drugs.
Late arrivals to prom will not be admitted. Students arriving after 8:30 PM will not be
admitted to the dance.
If your child plans to attend the RHS Prom, we ask that both you and your child sign this form below to indicate your understanding of this protocol, as well as your commitment to ensuring that this dance will be a safe and enjoyable experience for all students. In addition, your child’s guest must also comply with these rules. Of utmost concern to the District and to our school is the health and safety of all students at these events.
