10 questions for your social life
Share your perspective and insights on connection, friendship and loneliness in this anonymous survey.

Answers will inform, shape and sometimes feature in the new podcast and newsletter, A SOCIAL LIFE, WITH FRIENDS

Looking forward to delving into our social lives, together.

1. How's your social life at the moment?
For example: How many close friends do you have? Do you have a best friend? Do you feel anything is missing?
2. In an average month, how often do you see your friends or do something social?
Additional prompt: would you like to be doing more or less?
3. Do you have any rituals with friends or favourite things you like to do with others?
For example: A book club or Sunday evening dinner.
4. What is your approach to maintaining friendships?
For example: How do you stay in contact with people? Do you mostly initiate? Do you ever fall behind? Can communication be overwhelming?
5. When was the last time you made a new friend and how did you make them?
6. Have you navigated any major shifts in your social life? If so, how?
For example: pandemic lockdowns, moving, changing careers, a certain period in your life.
7. What is your favourite way to spend time alone?
8. Do you have any friendship regrets, or something you wish you knew sooner?
9. What would you say is the most important thing in your life and why?
10. What makes a good friend?
Bonus: Do you have any friendship dilemmas or questions about connection you would like to share?
These questions will help inform the podcast and newsletter and may be answered with their very own episode!
I am happy for my responses to be quoted anonymously in the newsletter and podcast, alongside potential editorial articles and books.  *
