Required
What are the main points of the source? Who is the author?
Does the source address the topic or research problem? Where does this source fit in the larger research being done on this topic?
What limitations does the source have [reading level, timeliness, reliability, etc.]?
What new questions does the source bring up to you about the topic?
Writing an Annotated Bibliography
Use the slides and examples included on the annotated bibliography page of the research guide: https://libguides.usc.edu/DSW/annotatedbibliography to help you write an annotation for the source your chose.

Formatting guidelines (American Psychological Association. (2020). Publication manual of the American Psychological Association (7th ed).  https://doi.org/10.1037/0000165-000):

Refer to the APA writing and style guidelines, when writing the text of your annotations. Use 'in text' citations when you refer to multiple sources in an annotation.

If your instructor has not set any specific requirements, your annotated bibliography in APA 7th edition format (Section 9.51, p 307) should:

Be in alphabetical order, the same as you would any reference list
Have an annotation below the reference entry that is 0.5 inches from the margin, the same as you would format a block quote
Using your answers to the questions above, write a short descriptive and analytical annotation of the source (5-7 sentences). *
Now that you have done that exercise, do you feel more comfortable about writing annotated bibliographies?
Still not totally confident, but understanding a little bit more
I am confident about my skills and look forward to writing the annotations
