Whitney's impressive attention to detail benefits not only players who aspire to the next level in their hockey training. She was the Coordinator for BC Hockey's Female Program of Excellence, and part of Team BC which won Bronze at both the 2017 National Women's U18 Championship & Canada Winter Games 2019. As the Lead Skills Instructor for BC Hockey, she is trained as a Hockey Canada Skills Instructor and Master Coach Developer. This past season Whitney, on behalf of the Vancouver Canucks, participated in the NHL Coaches Association Female Coach Mentorship Program. Whitney's work with minor hockey includes 9 years coaching with NVMHA (recently U15 Tier 1) & NSFIHA (recently U13 Tier 1), and 3 years as Hockey Operations Coordinator, due to COVID-19 that position shifted into Hockey Operations Assistant.

Whitney has worked with associations across the Lower Mainland helping strengthen their players and providing an amazing hockey experience. Her playing experience includes growing up in Alberta, playing with St. Francis Xavier High School Academy (Edmonton), and the EGHA Rebels AAA team (Western Champs). In her graduating year, she accepted a scholarship to the University of Saskatchewan. In 2005, Whitney returned to Alberta to represent Team Alberta at the Esso Women's Nationals in Ontario.

For the 2020/21 season and her contributions to the community, Whitney was awarded BFL & Hockey Canada Female Coach of the Year for the province of British Columbia. Whitney is passionate about developing players & coaches of all levels to reach their potential, turning their passion into power.
