Clean Blue Paros, an initiative founded by Common Seas, is a ground-breaking collaboration between Paros Municipality & WATT. Together we are tackling the plastic pollution crisis by demonstrating circular economy solutions, driving new policy and catalysing a cultural shift in how we use and dispose of plastic.

Clean Blue Paros is a pilot  program that is supporting Paros in its ambitious and difficult journey in becoming the first single-use plastic-waste free island in the Mediterranean. Charting the course for Greece, and the rest of the world, to radically reduce the amount of plastic polluting in our rivers and seas.

On Paros, we investigate the island’s unique plastic ecosystem by working with waste managers, social and marine scientists as well as local businesses. We explore how people perceive plastic, how it ‘flows’ around the island, and which items are found where.

This questionnaire is part of our three-step approach: Investigate, Intervene, Influence.  The objective of this study is to investigate your preferences on coastal and marine environment protection measures from plastic waste. This process guides future strategy and interventions as well as being used to assess the impact of the programme so far. Your answers are confidential and will be only used for research purposes. You have been randomly selected along with all other Paros residents and visitors who participate in this study.
