We the People of New Mexico are exercising the rights afforded to us in the New Mexico Constitution and are saying, “NO!” to some horrible bills that were just passed in this last legislative session. If we can get 25% of the number of people who voted in the last election to sign referendum petitions against these bills, then these bills will be paused (not enacted) until the 2024 general election when they will show up on the ballot to receive a public vote. This obligates us in Taos County to gather 3,348 legal signatures from qualified electors before the bills become law on June 16th.

June 16th is when these bills will become law if we’re unable to stop them. We cannot wait until the 16th to get our bills to the Referendum Project.
