Waitangi Marae Charter Survey and Review Questionnaire

The Waitangi Marae Trustees are currently reviewing our Charter and are also developing plans to make the marae a place for rangatira where manaakitanga is bestowed upon all Tangata Whenua and Manuhiri. We invite whanau members and beneficiaries to have your say before the new Charter is adopted preferably at the next AGM later in the year which will be advertised in the local newspaper with 21 days public notice.

** Danny Tuato’o will be assisting our trustees and beneficiaries, in his professional capacity, to help us develop a new charter that is compliant with the Māori Reservations Regulations 1994. Please note the following date of the next Special General Meeting and workshop on this kaupapa is 9am to 3pm Saturday 20th of April 2024 at our Whare Te Waka Awhina, Paihia Primary School. Results of our marae survey and review questionnaire will be presented there.
