2024 Lawrence Township Memorial Day Parade Participation Form

Please join us to honor the men and women who sacrificed their lives so that we may live in a country where freedom can never be forgotten.

Staging Area: Lawrence High School Date: May 25, 2024 Staging begins at 9:00 AM. Parade begins at exactly 10:00 AM.

Parade route will start at the Lawrence Township High School Parking Lot, proceed to Princeton Pike, then to Darrah Lane, Birchwood Knoll, and finally to Berwyn Place. The end and exit of the Parade will be through the High School Parking Lot.

The Memorial Day Service will be held at the conclusion of the parade.

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT : Participants assume all reasonable risks which may exist by virtue of participating in these activities and hereby indemnify, hold harmless, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages against the Township of Lawrence, its agents, servants and employees, Lawrence Township Recreation, its agents, servants and employees, and other such individuals who may be involved in the planning and implementation of the program, for claims by participants, heirs, executors, administrators, or any other third parties for injuries that may arise from participation in this program, or acts of negligence or gross negligence arising out of this agreement.  I further understand that I am financially responsible for any medical expenses or emergency transportation incurred on myself or any participants behalf. *

This parade is designated to pay tribute to service men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving the United States of America. All entries must adhere to a patriotic theme and be decorated accordingly. As this is neither a political nor commercial event, commercial or business advertising is not permitted. Participants must ride safely in vehicles during the parade and wear appropriate attire. No handouts or candy may be distributed from any vehicle along the parade route. Additionally, no political candidate or political organization can solicit or advertise candidacy in the Parade. The Parade Committee will eliminate any entry not in compliance.

All units are required to display flags properly. Parents or group leaders are responsible for their children at all times, including the staging area, in vehicles, during the parade procession, and at the conclusion of the parade. A parent, guardian, or group leader MUST be present at the event at all times. No child may be "dropped off" or left unaccompanied at any time.
