The Winona Outdoor Collaborative seeks to promote inclusion and accessibility through community partnerships and educational programming directed at reducing barriers to outdoor recreation. Describe why and how our mission aligns with your personal or professional values, experiences, or vision.

The Collaborative was formed under the philosophy that outdoor recreation should be accessible and inclusive for all. What does an inclusive outdoors look like to you? What areas of growth do you see for the Winona community to become more inclusive and welcoming for all individuals to get outdoors and recreation?

The Collaborative has four core values, including “inclusive”. In order to work towards a more inclusive, equitable community, the Collaborative strives to implement policies and practices that create a more welcoming, supportive culture for all individual identities. If you were elected to a Director position, are you comfortable having difficult discussions around topics of racism, sexism, abelism, religious prejudice, sexual orientation, classism, and any other form of discrimination that members of our community face? Are you comfortable openly and honestly analyzing the organization’s areas of growth in order to help the WOC strive towards becoming better advocates for all Winona residents?
