Description: This workshop will orient faculty to the variety of ways in which community-engaged teaching and learning is happening at VCU. Participants will learn to distinguish community-engaged teaching, service-learning, experiential education, and REAL (relevant, experiential, applied learning); hear about the range of possibilities for including community-engaged learning into teaching; and consider ideas for including these innovative teaching practices into their own teaching and learning activities.
