Thank you for your interest in Crystal Cove Conservancy and Newport Landing's Marine Protected Area Science Cruise!
This form is to help us keep track of the schools that would like to participate in the Marine Protected Area Exploration field trips for the 2023-2024 school year. You do not need to complete this form if you are only planning to run the curriculum in your classroom without a field trip.
At Crystal Cove Conservancy, we recognize that field trip costs can be a barrier to access for many students. As a result, we offer financial support to junior high and high schools who seek to participate in the MPA Cruise program.
Teacher Learning Community Scholarships
All teachers, regardless of their school’s financial status, are eligible to apply to join Crystal Cove Conservancy’s Teacher Learning Community, a professional community of teachers willing to share tested lesson plans, fundraising ideas, and other resources with each other. Spaces in the Teacher Learning Community are limited and members must meet commitments in order to be re-admitted the following year.
By becoming a member, you commit to:
- Attending a virtual or in-person professional development workshop before your program;
- Facilitating pre- and post-trip student assessments in the classroom;
- Sending Thank You notes to funders after your program;
- Submitting final invoices within 60 days of your program or by June 10, 2024 (whichever occurs first)
Each school only needs to complete this form once. If more than one teacher from your school will be delivering the MPA Cruise curriculum in the classroom and attending the professional development session, please include the names and emails of the other teachers below.
