Commit to striking if it is needed to achieve a fair contract
February 25 marks two years since we began bargaining with the University. Two years is more than enough time to reach a fair agreement and in order to get a fair contract we must take further action.
Last Spring, workers in GWC voted 96% YES to authorize the bargaining committee to call a strike if needed to achieve a fair contract. The University’s intransigence on the most basic economic areas and non-economic protections leaves us no choice but to escalate. We continue to organize towards a potential strike as we tell Columbia it is in their power to avert it by giving us a contract we deserve!
If we do not reach a contract by February 25, we will announce a strike deadline.
Commit to striking if it is needed to achieve a fair contract!
