WORKSHOP CONTENT
Participants exploring basic acting techniques using script, props & through theatre exercises. The exploration will focus on creatively exploring oneself using body, voice and imagination.
There will be about 30-40% of theory and 60% of practical's. Participants will be given creative exercises to complete as homework. The workshop will focus on theatre as well as self exploration as part of learning the ropes of acting.
Certificate
After completion of both Synchronous and Asynchronous Sessions e certificate will be issued by the Nodal Office.

Overview
Rajesh was inducted into the world of theatre in 1993 as a student of Journalism in Christ College, Bangalore. That love affair has lasted all of 28 years now. After a stint in the Times of India & later Indiainfo.com, he decided that his life was not going to be wasted in corporate pursuits and began to pursue theatre professionally in 2000.
➔ 1995 - 2012 - Co-founded Script Peoples Theatre (SPT) along with two friends.
➔ 1995-2000 - Voice-over artiste for over 30 television commercials in Malayalam.
➔ 2000 - Trained in Playback Theatre by Bev Hoskings (Aus) and Mary Good (New Zealand).
➔ 2006 - SPT started running the Theatre In Education Department at Christ University.
➔ 2006 - SPT staged A.P.J Kalam’s autobiography ‘Wings of Fire’ for the President himself at Rashtriya Military School, Ajmer.
➔ 2006 - 2012 - Co-directed 6 Vision 2020 series of productions based on A.P.J Abdul Kalam’s vision document and featuring hundreds of actors, singers and dancers.
➔ Acted in many theatre productions including Sankranti, The Tempest, Puntilla and his man Matti, Final Solutions, Tea House on the August Moon, Sakharam Binder, Vision 2020 - Alexander, Michael - Angel - Oh!, The Devil’s tree, The Apricot Jar, Playback Theatre performances and more...

➔ 2013 - Presented a plaque by Governor of Karnataka in association with Rotary Bangalore South and Karnataka Civil Defence Corps in recognition of ‘dedicated service as a theatre teacher imparting immense knowledge and values to students and moulding them into responsible students’.
➔ 2016 - Founded The Actors Collective
➔ 2017 - 2020 - Appointed as South Asian Representative of International Playback Theatre Network (IPTN) representing Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India.
➔ 2019 - Hosted the International Playback Theatre Network Conference along with Christ University and IPTN, featuring 278 delegates from 77 countries.
➔ Currently facilitating a range of theatre and wellness workshops including - Online Performers Playback Theatre workshop, The Actors Tool Box, Letting Go, Nourishing the Inner Gift, Celebrating You & The Courage Series.
