District recruitment is underway for the 2024-2025 school year, the third year of the Teacher Residency Program.
To be eligible to host a resident, a district must commit to each of the four requirements:
1. Provide Teacher Resident Housing - Districts must provide one of the following options: district housing, mileage reimbursement, or a set housing stipend as agreed upon between the district and resident
2. Provide a Teacher Leader who:
- participates in the OPI professional learning model leading to renewal credits
- engages in networks of collaboration with teacher leaders and residents participating in the program
- completes data surveys tied to this project
- communicates with other teacher leaders, residents, and administration on progress and satisfaction of the Residency project
- actively engages with the EPP field placement personnel
- possess an attitude and mindset of possibilities and growth
- is fully committed to the work and mentorship required as a teacher leader
3. 100% commitment by the district leadership and the support of the local board of trustees who:
- complete data surveys tied to this project
- communicate on a regular basis with the teacher leader and resident on the resident's development
- is fully committed to the success of the project
