Ongoing practice circle includes taking our seat, breath practice, and continuum of awareness. Some Mondays we have a short check in and some, there is an opportunity for a GAP exercise.
The ongoing practice circle is a weekly session open to those who have worked with Chris or Sharon for the past three years. If you have not worked with one of us in the past three years, sign up for an Intro to GAP workshop. You can also ask to be put on the mailing list so you will learn when we add more Intros and other workshops.
By signing up, you will receive information about Monday practices. The first and third Mondays of the month are extended practice and include exercise(s) (~90 minutes). The other Mondays are the basic practices described above and a short check-in. You are not obligated to attend simply by registering.
We have offered in the spirit of the ancient practice of dāna, a mutual exchange of generosity and abundance between teachers and students. In Buddhist teachings, dana (generosity, letting go) is one of the main heart practices the Buddha urged his students to cultivate to help lessen their suffering and increase joy. Ours is not a Buddhist practice but is informed by Buddhism, and in this spirit, we suggest dana. Offered dana is used for growing the Tribal Ground LLC programs and offering scholarships to those who cannot afford workshops. We are taking this a step further this year and asking you to voluntarily participate with an offering as a continuing member of Ongoing Practice Circle. And, of course, we understand if you cannot make a monetary offering.
