College Fair and WCU Tour 9/12/22
Originally advertised to 11th-13th graders, WCU is allowing us to take everyone! This is a great opportunity to talk with representatives from 45+ colleges/universities, so all students are expected to go. Therefore, all staff are needed to chaperone. So, the HEC building will be closed, and lunch will not be served in the Cafe. College instructors will be aware of your absence, but you should touch base with them. This does not give you an extension on any assignments due on 9/12; work ahead.

Complete this permission form with a parent/guardian before Tuesday, September 6th. (Remember that Monday, September 5th, is a holiday for the high school and college.)

To prepare our underclassmen to maximize the fair, there will be a required 10th Grade meeting this Friday  from 11:30a-12:10p in Hickory 309 (unless you have an overlapping college class). We will meet with 9th Grade this Friday during Seminar from 12:10-12:50p in Hickory 309, as well as Study Hall in the Sunroom.

Dress appropriately for the weather and to make a positive first impression. Wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring a water bottle. We will load buses at the Cafe at 8:30a and return to the Cafe by 2:20p.

Your only expense is lunch (and any bookstore purchases). There are a few on-campus dining options. The all-you-care-to-eat dining hall is $9.75, payable by cash, debit or credit card. Then there are a la carte options, such as Chick-fil-a, Panda Express and Papa John's. If this cost is a burden for your family, see Mrs. Case before or on Tuesday, September 6th.
