With the Covid daily new infection cases in LA County dropping to slightly above 1000, there is a ray of hope that life will soon return to normal. In the light of this good trend, this week we will continue our in-person CEC and AGF on Friday. Heath and Michelle led a very interesting conversation on the topic of Idiom last week. Though there are more interesting American Idioms to be covered, we will leave it to subsequent weeks. This week, Heath and Michelle will touch on the topic of “Pronunciation”. Having clear and effective verbal communications with American students and colleagues means you and I not only must have the right vocabularies but also the right pronunciations. We all bring a certain habit or understanding of how each English word is to be pronounced. This session will help to correct some of the wrong pronunciations you and I have been making or reinforce the right pronunciation we have already practiced.
At AGF, we will continue the series of God’s love and look into how this love is manifested in our lives, particularly in the aspect of our need for deliverance from bad and unhealthy habits. Jesus said that He comes that we may have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). After we have been forgiven by God and reconciled to Him, He wants us to experience the fullness of life. Let’s come and explore together how we can live a full and abundant life.
