The SERENE-IoT project Webinar Series are organised in the scope of European PENTA framework to present latest results on Connected Medical Devices that have been developed during this initiative. We offer four topics specific webinars each of 30 min duration with 15 minutes of Q&A for the guests.


1 - SERENE-IoT Security for Safety (S4S) - Gudrun Neumann (SGS-TÜV Saar GmbH)

Abstract: This webinar gives a summary about the essential requirements and example measures, which should be considered during development of safety-related medical IoTs. These recommendations represents the latest results of the SERENE-IoT project. In the end there is the possibility for discussion.

2 - SERENE-IoT Medical Application Layer: An IoT-Platform for medical devices with secure end-to-end data encryption and user notifications -  Tobias Kilian (FLAVIA-IT)

Abstract: In this webinar we will demonstrate the MedAL IoT-Platform, with a Web-Based UI and automatic notifications for healthcare professionals and device manufacturers. It was developed by Flavia IT as a part of the SERENE-IOT project under the framework of the European PENTA funding program. We will explain the architecture, show a live demo and have a Q&A Session for a lively discussion afterwards.

3- SERENE-IoT Advanced Smart Health Care IoT devices: Fall Prevention/Detection�Claus-Peter Kettner, Stefan Burkard (SpringTechno)

Abstract: In this SERENE webinar Spring Techno will present their experience and competence in the field of fall detection and fall prevention systems, including data analysis, health status prediction, fall alarms and visualization. The webinar describes in detail the development and the field of application of gait analysis within the SERENE project and offers future views of multi-functional use of analytics and algorithm development, particularly as a perspective exploitation of the SERENE-IoT project

4- SERENE-IoT Methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA): early detection and preventing the spread of resistant bacteria - Christian Hochreiter, Erkan Isa (Fraunhofer)

Abstract: This webinar will demonstrate the achievements accomplished in the scope of SERENE-IOT project under the framework of the European PENTA funding program. We will shortly introduce the project, the motivation, challenge and the proposed solution as MRSA detector. The project will be concluded end of Q1 2021. We will show the latest status and achievements in this domain towards the realization of a IoT connected fast MRSA detector and have a Q&A session for a lively discussion.
