                                                                                  Retreat Information

ACTS is an acronym for Adoration, Community, Theology & Service.  The Retreat’s goals are to strengthen our faith and its application in our daily lives, to renew ourselves spiritually and to build a strong Community.  The ACTS Weekend is presented by lay Catholic men, with support provided by a Spiritual Director, Spiritual Companion and/or Clergy.  ACTS is a Parish-based retreat and ministry.

The retreat begins Thursday evening, January 26, 2023, with check-in at 6:00-6:15 pm at the Pere Megret Center, 202 W Vermilion St, in Abbeville. All Meals are included from Thursday to Sunday, as well as Transportation to and from Stillwater Retreat Center.     We will return you to St. Mary Magdalen Church on Sunday, January 29 for the 11:00 am Mass.
   
Space on the retreat is limited and the participants selected are based on the order in which the registrations are received.  Registration is open to the first 35 men from St Mary Magdalen Church, although parishioners from neighboring churches are encouraged to apply and may get accepted for the Retreat.

The cost of the retreat is $295.  Full payment or a $50 deposit is required at the time of registration.  Checks can be made to St. Mary Magdalen Church.  If a deposit is given, the remaining balance is due on Thursday evening upon check-in (January 26 at 6:00-615 pm).     Please note: Financial difficulties should NOT prevent anyone from attending the retreat.  If you have financial concerns, confidential arrangements can be made by contacting the Exec Director Blane Comeaux at Blane.Comeaux@gmail.com or by phone at 337-344-3431.

O. Box 1507, Abbeville, LA, 70511-1507.

You will receive an email and/or text message confirming that your registration was received at St. Mary Magdalen.  You will also receive an email about 3-4 weeks prior to the retreat describing the items that you should bring.  If you have any questions about the Retreat, please contact the Retreat Director Jim Williams at 337-422-9169.
