• I will agree to attend all Training sessions.

• I understand that anything and everything dealing with Youth Court Cases is highly confidential.  These cases are REAL cases involving minors.  I agree to not speak of or share any details of court hearings with any friends or family members.

• I will promptly respond to phone calls, Text messages and information that is mailed to me about the
   Youth Court Program.  We mostly stay in communication via text message and through out Youth Court Google Classroom

• I understand that transportation is not provided to trainings, hearings or other events.

• I understand that I need to check my email address, which I provided, for further information regarding the upcoming training.  

· I understand that joining the Clinton County Youth Court Program is a commitment.  I understand my participation is necessary in order to help my peers that are involved in this program as well as the community.  I will be an active member by attending hearings, meetings and community service events.

  • I understand my child will be involved in court cases for other youth in the community that have committed an offence.  

  • I understand my child we be witnessing and taking part in cases that can be anything from a violation to a low level felony.  (Youth court does not handle any cases that are inordinately violent, sexual in nature, or anything that could be considered a hate crime.  All offending Juveniles are screened prior to their  cases being accepted into the Youth Court Program in order to deem the offence and themselves appropriate.)

  • I understand that due to the cases being Juvenile cases, they are strictly confidential and my child may not discuss any details regarding any Youth Court cases with me.  

  • I have discussed the above information with my child and I agree, after considering his/her commitments, that they can participate in the Youth Court Program.

Upcoming Training
The next training will take place July 1 and July 2nd from 4pm -8pm each evening at the Old Court House in downtown Plattsburgh.  You MUST attend both training sessions.  Please be on the look out for an email inviting you to our Clinton County Youth Court New Member Training google classroom.  You will find more detailed information regarding the training in the classroom as the date grow near.
Clinton County Youth Court uses Google Classrooms to keep in contact with all members.  Once your application is received you will be emailed with an invitation to the Clinton County Youth Court New Member Training Classroom.  There you will see detailed information and instructions regarding the New  Member training. *
