2020 Parker Pool Riptide Swim Team Registration
Welcome to the 2020 summer swim season! Please fill out the form below to sign your swimmer up to become a member of the Parker Pool Riptide Swim Team for the Summer of 2020! All participants must be at least 5 years old and be able to swim the length of the 25 meter pool. If they need to stop, no worries! We will group them with fellow beginners. If your swimmer is looking for conditioning and technique improvement, we will place them with fellow advanced swimmers.

There are 2 steps to register that must be completed by everyone - returning and new swim team members.

Step 1 - complete this form.

Step 2 - bring your swimmer to Parker Pool for a practice group placement swim test. We just need to see how they swim so we can group into the beginner, intermediate, or advanced practice group.

DATES / TIMES TO BRING YOUR SWIMMER FOR THE PLACEMENT SWIM TEST:

Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14: 10 am--noon (before we open) and during public swim hours noon-8 pm
 
Monday, June 15 and Tuesday, June 16  during public swim hours noon-8 pm

PRACTICE STARTS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17th

PRACTICE TIMES WILL BE OFFERED MORNING AND EVENING :

Morning swim practice will be 9:00- 10:00 AM

Evening swim practice will be 6:30-7:30 PM

Parents are welcome to drop kids at practice and return to pick up 1 hour later when it is over.

Messaging to notify of bad weather that ended practice early or canceling for any reason will be sent through the  GroupMe app. Please be sure that you are able to receive notices through this app. If you are not, please let us know.

LATE COMERS WELCOME, JUST COMPLETE THE FORM ASK LIFEGUARDS FOR PLACEMENT TEST

As we know, COVID-19 requires that we implement social distancing. This means we can only  have 3 swimmers per lane. Maybe we can increase it later if we can keep 4 swimmers per lane 6 feet apart, but for now, we are limited to 3 swimmers per lane in 6 of our 7 lanes in order to leave one lane open for 1 on 1 work with coaches. This means that we can only have 18 swimmers per practice. Right now, we have 3 practices per day Mondays-Thursdays. We will add more practice times if we need to. For now, we need parents to let us know in this form which practice they will attend. Please only select the practice time that you WILL attend. Let us know if siblings, friends, or carpoolers need to be in the same practice time. Use the same link to register swimmers individually.

I understand that COVID-19 may bring additional risk to group sports activities. COVID-19 is requiring social distancing efforts to be implemented by the Coastal Bend Friends of Aquatics and Parker Pool and Staff (the releasee). I hereby agree to keep my swimmer at home in case s/he shows signs of flu, fever, or has had exposure to a person dealing with the Corona virus. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releasees or others associated with releasee, and assume full responsibility for my child's participation in Parker Pool Riptide Swim Team. I hereby hold harmless Parker Pool, Coastal Bend Friends of Aquatics, and all sponsors, supporters, and associates of releasee. *
