Paper Submission: Renting in 2020 and Beyond - development of a shared research and policy agenda
The new Evidence Network for Renting (EN4R) is inviting papers for our inagural conference titled 'Renting in 2020 and beyond: development of a shared research and policy agenda'. The conference funded by the Housing Studies Association and the Institute for Social Responsibility, aims to unpick a number of the key challenges and policy issues for renting.

We welcome papers, from academics, policymakers and professionals, addressing (but not limited to) the following topics:

* A ‘better’ deal for renters, regulatory reform, and the end of ‘no fault’ evictions;
* Safety, standards, practice and enforcement;
* Housing-related welfare reforms and housing policy;
* Renting, home and communities;
* New forms of renting, short-term lets and property guardianships;
* Public health and home;

All abstracts will be reviewed by our review panel. Following the conference, all authors of papers presented at the conference will be asked to provide a summary article up to 4,000 words to be included in our inaugural EN4R report. This report will also include the policy and research recommendations developed by the attendees of the conference.

We encourage contributions from academics at any stage in their career, and, those in policy and practice roles.

Deadline for submissions is Friday 10th April 2020 at 1pm. We aim to provide authors decisions by the end of April.

The conference will be held in Manchester City Centre on Thursday 18th June 2020.

Data collected through this form will be processed and stored in line with Edge Hill University's Data Protection Policy and Privacy Policy. For more information please see the policy here: https://www.edgehill.ac.uk/ig/privacy/

Early Career Researchers
To support Early Career Researchers, two papers slots have been reserved for ECRS and the two best papers by ECRs (judged by our review panel) will be supported by a travel bursary up to £50 each.

We utilise the definition of an ECR provided by the Housing Studies Association: The Housing Studies Association adopts a flexible view of what constitutes an Early Career Researcher (ECR). ECRs normally include all Masters students, Doctoral students, and researchers with less than four years full-time equivalent research experience (e.g. postdoctoral researchers within 4 years of PhD completion or junior researchers in a non-academic research role for less than 4 years).
Are you an Early Career Researcher as per the HSA definition? *
A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
