Adding LaFarm to your Spring or Fall Course (2021)
LaFarm: The Lafayette College Working Farm and Community Garden, has offered hands-on experiential learning to courses ranging from First Year Seminars on Cookbooks and Plastics, to a senior Economics Capstone, to Environmental Studies 100, to Spiritual Writing.  How can LaFarm offer a virtual or in-person component to your courses in Spring or Fall 2021?  If you're offering a virtual course, an in-person LaFarm visit may be an opportunity for students to meet in a socially-distanced manner, while seeing real-world examples of themes or issues discussed in class, such as the climate impacts of agriculture, building a regional food system, soil biology, structural racism, or our personal relationship with the natural world.  Share with us your ideas of how LaFarm could relate to your upcoming courses and support student research, community building, and mental health.
