ABOUT OUR EVENT:
We will be sharing information on how to get involved in a robotics team, how to be a valuable asset and/or leader of your robotics team, and how our robotics experiences shaped and inspired us in college/through college applications. We also hope for this workshop to be a place for those in the community to share their robotics stories and ask us questions.

LOGISTICS:
Girl Genius is holding free virtual workshops and panels by female change-makers worldwide. One hour before the workshop, attendees with be emailed the meeting information. Individuals who have not signed up for the respective workshop or panel will not be able to attend the virtual event.

WHAT IS GIRL GENIUS:
Girl Genius is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created by aspiring girls in STEAM which provides a platform for girls to learn about accomplished women in STEAM, showcase their projects, as well as connect with girls nationwide.  Since 2018, our initiative seeks to ensure females (non-binary and trans-inclusive) and people of color are given a voice through our three mediums: magazine issues, blog posts, and YouTube videos.

MEET OUR WORKSHOP LEADERS
Liana Tilton ✨ - Washington University in St. Louis 2023 (Biomedical Engineering) - Liana was on FTC team #12377 and served as captain her junior and senior years. She has worked at the Yale soft robotics laboratory for over 3 years where she works on designing and manufacturing Robotic Skins. She is a published author, and her work has been presented at multiple international conferences. She is also the co-founder of WashU Robotics Club and enjoys teaching robotics to younger students.

Meghana Keeta ✨ - Carnegie Mellon University 2023 (Electrical & Computer Engineering) - Meghana was on a FIRST Robotics Competition team in high school and was the President of my 150+ member team and also was a Dean’s List Finalist in high school. Now at college, she loves participating in robotics club where she work on various projects and Hackathons. She likes being active in my community and serves various leadership positions on campus such as on the executive board of Society of Women Engineers.

Carolina Perez ✨ - Columbia University 2022 (Industrial Engineering) - Caroline was on an FRC team in high school and was the captain and business lead her senior year. At Columbia, she has started exploring entrepreneurship through co-founding a startup with a couple other engineers and friends.

Alice Jiang ✨ - University of Southern California (Biomedical Engineering) - Alice was on FRC Team 4990 for all four years of high school, serving as mechanical lead my sophomore year and captain my senior year. In college, She's working on variable stiffness soft robots in a research lab and is a member of USC’s Rocket Propulsion Lab, a student group that builds and launches rockets. Outside of school, Alice like designing useful household objects to 3D print.
